THE MEGA: A POOR ORGANIZATIONAL GOAL and impoverishing
career, in recent years, at least in Latin organizational environment that paid consultants will help organizations formulate their MEGA (Meta large and ambitious), something like the Holy Grail of organizational success. And let's say MEGA, somehow, came to displace the previous exercises of defining organizational vision or, for those using this methodology, the scenarios exercise. I harbor the most serious doubts about this new practice management and I want to share with my readers.

4. Transport: revenue from new business operation in 80 (MUSD).
5. Diversification energy: biofuels sales 450 (KTA).
As you can see the reader, and a MEGA n there are only quantitative targets and economist . No space for the social nor environmental. Not to mention that biofuels meet recent requirements for development, but not the space nor the time to get into the controversy, the facts have already shown they are the wrong response to the problem. But to keep the focus of the question, I will ask more questions now.
Discussion Questions
1. Are they able these figures, any numbers you want to express, to excite a human community? Enthusiasm means awakening passion, build commitment, to produce a significant meaning in the lives of a human collective. Absolutely! The finding of social psychology is opposed to such nonsense.
2. Can a figure summarizing the management of an organization at a significant time period and the role of that organization in the society in which it operates? Absolutely! Would like to summarize the progress of civilization in the growth of GDP. A lot that is fortunately re-evaluating and seriously in the world! 3. Is DEVELOPMENT simply quantitative growth? now know with absolute certainty that no. 4.
