The History of a Mountain Mine Holy
This story takes place in Orissa, an eastern state of India. More precisely in the hills of Niyamgiri, in which dwells the people of the Dongria Kondh, who consider the mountains sacred, core part of their ancestral culture, because with them have maintained a symbiotic relationship secular. And that is where the British mining company Vedanta Resources PLC is establishing a mining project on a large scale aluminum and open, without respecting international conventions clear as the ILO Convention 169, which requires it to consult the peoples and affected communities .
